Dr. Rashid Waraich is co-leading the research and development of a transportation system simulation framework at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. He has more than a decade of R&D experience related to high performance transportation simulation models with special focus on electric and driverless fleets. 

Dr. Waraich studied computer science at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and wrote his master’s thesis in the area of distributed systems at the University of California, Berkeley. He holds a PhD from ETH Zurich from the Civil Engineering Department. 

He is currently serving as Naib National Secretary Taleem Jamaat Ahmadiyya USA, as Qazi Awwal in Darul Qada USA and in the Waqf-e-Nau National team. Besides various other Jamaat duties he also served for many years with IAAAE related to various engineering projects in Africa.
