Dr. Sohail Husain, MD, published a paper in the journal Pancreotology in February 2025. The main findings provide mechanism for the phenomenon that has been known for decades: that the rectal route of administration of NSAIDs is superior in preventing post ERCP pancreatitis over other roots of administration.
