2023 Abdus Salam Science Fair
Location: Baitu-ur-Rahman Mosque, Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, January 21, 2023 | Quran and Science Symposium
We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a science fair at our upcoming Quran and Science conference. We welcome submissions from students, scholars, and researchers who are interested in sharing their work and insights on any scientific topic (e.g., recent research/experimental findings of your own, a novel scientific method you are interested in exploring, a review of experimental findings from a specific scientific area, or a unique scientific insight you have gleaned from your understanding of Quran). There is no strict scope on what can be included on a poster, provided that it fits within the theme of “Quran and Science”.
Beyond the competitive aspect of it being a science fair, this session will provide an opportunity for Ahmadi Muslim researchers to network with like-minded scholars, and for attendees to engage about how the Quran and scientific knowledge intersect and inform one another. We encourage submissions that explore a wide range of topics and approaches.
If you are interested in submitting a poster or project, please provide a brief summary or abstract (150-300 words) outlining the main points and contributions of your work in the registration form by Saturday, January 14, 2022.
Best posters will be recognized:
2 prizes per section* - certificate of excellence and $25 gift card
*Sections: (i) Grades 5-8, (ii) Grades 9-12, (iii) Undergraduate, (iv) Graduate and beyond
There will be separate poster sessions for men (boys) and women (girls). We look forward to receiving your submissions and to a lively and thought-provoking discussion at the conference.
